Bell Canada says some of its customers had a incorrect “fall-back” change to their phones Monday, a week before it was supposed to happen. “Some of our mobility clients may have experienced an incorrect time change on their phone this morning,” the company told CBC News in an emailed statement. “Our teams are investigating the situation in order to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. There’s a long and lively Facebook discussion thread which continues Sunday about communal washrooms and change rooms. They have private rooms for removing a swimming suit and getting dressed. But these are accessed from an all sexes space where, as many women complain, men can walk in and see a woman in her swimwear. Several comments say such communal change rooms will be installed at the new Davisville Community Hub next door to Davisville Public School.

Thousands of homes across central Midtown were blacked out Friday afternoo0n from about 1 until 2.30 p.m. The outage as shown on the Hydro blackout map ranged from Yonge St to Bayview Ave and from about Davisville Ave to the Rosedale Valley Rd. Micheal Packham was one of many area residents tweeting with Hydro. He said he had heard a loud bang from a utility pole nearby as his lights went out.
Bessborough pupils report men offering candy on Hanna Rd

Parents and guardians of Bessborough Elementary and Middle School have received a letter from the principal of the school dated Friday reporting an incident in which two pupils reported being approached by men in a truck offering them candy. The kids ran back to school immediately and told school officials. The incident occurred on Hanna Rd at about 3.30 p.m. Thursday.

The men, numbering four, were said to be in a black van with tinted windows. They are described as black with beards. The driver is said to have been wearing a “religious hat”.

A light plane landed safely on Highway 407 Wednesday morning in what seems like a special meeting of skill and good luck. The student pilot evidently experienced engine trouble moments after taking off from Buttonville Airport.
