Half ton of never-used Roman coins unearthed in Spain

Workers laying pipes in a park in Seville have unearthed a trove of Roman coins weighing more than half a ton in what culture officials say is a unique historic discovery. The coins are said to date from 400 AD and were apparently kept in safekeeping below ground as a fund to pay soldiers and staff. Although aged and dirty the coins were newly-minted and had never been in circulation, experts say.
