True sedan delivery
Andy Elder of the Grilltime specialty meat shop on Laird Drive came upon this modified 1940 Dodge panel truck in Bobcaygeon last weekend and posted it. Before there were SUVs and minivans there were half-ton panels (like the Dodge posted by Andy) and the upscale commercial carrier known as the sedan delivery (lower right). Like most men, Andy was slightly enchanted by this boy’s toy and how those with enough money will fit the metal shell of these cars and trucks over the modern mechanicals of a “donor” vehicle offering air, power and automatic transmission.
