Lad in Victoria Park hit-and-run darted into street says dad

The heartbreaking injuries to a 4-year-old lad who was struck on Victoria Park Ave. apparently occurred when he dashed onto the road, says his father. The boy, Radiul Chowdhury, has serious brain injuries as physicians labour to save his life at the Hospital for Sick Children. His dad, Ruhul Chowdhury, told CTV that Radiul has not yet regained consciousness but there is still hope that he will survive. The four-year-old was walking with his family on Vic Park near Adair Road at around 1:30 p.m. Sunday when he darted the roadway and was struck by a northbound motorcycle. The motorcyclist stopped briefly and a female passenger got off the bike. She fled the area on foot and the motorcyclist then took off, police said.
