Chrystia Freeland is Canada’s new finance minister following the abrupt resignation and departure of Bill Morneau Monday. Great intrigue roars in Ottawa Tuesday that former Bank of Canada and Bank of England governor Mark Carney will be the real backroom minister. He has recently been hired as a Trudeau aide. Some say Carney will run in Morneau’s riding of Toronto Centre when the minority Trudeau regime calls an election.
