Man delivers syringes to Eglinton School, flees on a bicycle

Police say a man on a bicycle delivered a package containing syringes and other paraphernalia to Eglinton Junior Public School at Eglinton Ave. and Mt. Pleasant Rd. Tuesday morning. He was spotted by Community Safety Team members. Just what this act was all about is an open question but the issue of drug use and discarded syringes is a burning issue in the Roehampton neighbourhood since homeless and street people moved into the former Roehampton Hotel at 808 Mt. Pleasant. Police call this incident mischief. The man is described as 5’9”, 35-45 years of age, with a medium build. He was wearing a white and blue Blue Jays baseball cap, a white and grey striped long-sleeved sweater under a black down vest, grey pants, and black running shoes. He was last seen riding a dark-coloured bicycle.
