A virtual meeting is set for Tuesday, September 29 as the Davisville and South Eglinton communities attempt to respond to a 27-storey residential tower proposal for the former Newbigging Funeral Home location on Mt. Pleasant Rd. The giant building would sit on properties from 717 to 733 Mt. Pleasant.
The same firm wanted nine storeys in 2018
The stories linked below reveal the change in the thinking of the developer, Rockport Group. In 2018 the firm was proposing a nine-storey structure. The change comes because of the legislation OPA 405, commonly known as Midtown in Focus, that was unilaterally made by the provincial government in 2019 Facebook
