The Mount Pleasant Village Comedy Festival returns this summer with a new soccer-themed title, Comedy Kicks!!, featuring free outdoor performances by stand-up comedians, improvisers and magicians.
The shows will take place at 700 Mount Pleasant Rd. (at Soudan Ave.) on six consecutive Thursday evenings beginning June 18, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. A free family-friendly Kids Day performance starring WonderPhil is also scheduled for Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m.
The lineup includes improv performances by Comedy Bar All-Stars, stand-up comedy featuring several Toronto comics, and a comedy magic show with Matt DiSero. Seating is outdoors, with a rain location across the street at Granite Brewery, 245 Eglinton Ave. E.
Comedy Kicks!! is presented by Mount Pleasant Village BIA with help from our supporters, The Briton House Retirement Home, Granite Brewery and the City of Toronto through the Community Celebration Support Fund.
