Sunday using rainmaking gear seldom seen, even in the rich Leaside movie-shoot experience. The PC charity funds school-based nutrition, especially breakfast, for children who need it. The commercial contains a scene of a girl in a bright yellow slicker walking to school. The isolated rain comes from a tanker truck. Water is piped to a towering rain-making crane and then sprayed wherever the director says. Staff and actors were lodged in the Trace Manes field house during the long shoot.

Police are appealing for witnesses and surveillance or dash cam video taken at or near the corner of Yonge St. and Wedgewood Dr. north of Cummer Ave. in Willowdale Friday night. They say that at about 11:45 p.m. a man on his bicycle was attacked for reasons unknown by an unidentified man. Police said later Saturday that the weapon used was a golf club. The assualt critically injured the bike rider causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then fled on foot in an unknown direction He is described only as wearing dark clothing.
