It is a nice brick home with updated interior including two full baths, one on the main floor and one on the second. The listing attracted 150 potential buyers and 34 bidders. It runs all day at Sunnybrook Park north pitch at 1132 Leslie Street but you can catch the mayor about 9 a.m. when remarks are scheduled.  Joining Mayor Tory will be MP Adam Vaughan; Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders; Michael Lam, CIMA Chair; Andrew Miskin, Global President of CIMA; and Mahes Wickramashinghe, Chief Strategy Officer, Canadian Tire. The CIMA games have helped to raise funds to support youth cricket programs such as Cricket Across the Pond scholarships and the Mayor’s School Cricket Tournament in Toronto.

City councillors in Fort McMurray have made themselves among the highest — maybe even the highest — highest paid municipal councillors in Canada. Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo councillors voted 7-4 of the raises saying it is justified because they expect to put in additional hours to co-ordinate rebuilding efforts. Seven part-time councillors currently earning $36,000 per year will see their pay rise to $75,000. Councillors Allan Vinni, Keith McGrath, and Sheldon Germain — all part of a newly minted relief committee — will now work full-time. Their pay will rise to $150,000 per year. That’s believed to be the highest base salary for any councillor in Canada.

Witnesses captured video of a house on fire moving down a flooded river in West Virginia. The incredible sight was seen in White Sulphur Springs following heavy rain and flash flooding. Online reports say the house scene occurred in a place called Howard’s Creek.

Michigan mother Stacey Wehrman Feeley was amused when she saw her daughter standing on the toilet seat in the family home. But then she was reduced to tears as she realized her little girl was practicing what to do if a shooter was loose in her school. Teachers told the child to stand on the toilet seat and be quiet. The Traverse City woman composed herself and soon posted the picture on her  Facebook page, where she wrote an impassioned plea arguing for improved gun controls in the US, with the hope of making such lockdown drills a thing of the past. “Politicians – take a look,” she wrote, in a post that has been shared more than 10,000 times. “This is your child, your children, your grandchildren, your great grandchildren and future generations to come. They will live their lives and grow up in this world based on your decisions. They are barely 3 and they will hide in bathroom stalls standing on top of toilet seats.”

Here we are on Moore Ave at Brendan Road where Clean Water Works of Ottawa is installing sewer life-extending cured-in-place-pipe lining (CIPP). Steam is used to cure a resin-saturated felt tube or robust sleeve composed of polyester that is pulled into aging and damaged sewer pipes. CIPP lining tube is inserted into the damaged pipe with either air pressure or water pressure. Hot water or steam is used to cure the resin which then forms a solid, impregnable mass that lines the interior dimensions of a sewer pipe. That’s the part you are looking at in the video above.
