Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig on Bessborough Dr. Monday

Bystanders said that Matt Damon (and maybe Kristen Wiig) were already inside the home with the black light filters. But crew members said they would arrive later. There is a large crew for this story about a man who feels his life is out of control and wants to downsize. It is adapted from a work by Alexander Payne described as a high concept sci-fi satire. Reese Witherspoon was expected to co-star but Wiig is now opposite Damon. The two are expected to be here just one day.

Citizen “traffic study” suggests a stop light at Soudan

You don’t have to be city planner to know there are an awful of cars trying to get through the intersection of Bayview Ave and Soudan Ave/Parkhurst Blvd. Try to count them in this two-minute video. It was shot this Saturday around 5.30 but those who live around here can recall at least three nasty events at the corner in six or seven months. The crosswalk (like most crosswalks) has proven dangerous for some people and there are lots of pedestrians. Merchants in the north block think their customers would be safer getting in and out of their cars if traffic were stopped at both Manor Rd and Soudan, the way it is on Mt. Pleasant.
