Leslievillians snap Super Blood Wolf Moon rising on lake
by •
Residents of Leslieville were well-placed to see the Super Blood Wolf Moon rise over Lake Ontario. Many thought it didn’t fully live up to its grand name but here are two shots that are very nice. They appear on the community Facebook page Monday morning. At the left is the scene at Cherry St. and the photographer confesses that she had to correct her driving. She stopped and got out of the car to shoot this. At right is the best of an apparently long and chilly evening shooting the moon. Note the man in sunglasses. #bloodmoon Wow, is Sunday’s delectable Super Blood Wolf Moon edible?

by •
Yes there’s shovelling to be done but the forecasts of five to ten cm. for Midtown seem correct. Upper left, that’s the scene Sunday morning at St. Clair Ave. and Mt. Pleasant Rd. (looking south) at what seems to be a newly-installed traffic camera. Check the other local cameras. At upper right is a nice shot of Lake Ontario from the west end of Toronto seen on #ONstorm. Below that, black and white woofer Charlie and the deeply-buried family car are from Hamilton where there is always more snow, especially on Mt. Hamilton. Stay warm.
Woman, 89, hit in low-speed accident at Soudan and Holly
by •
Police are looking for witnesses or video that will help them explain a low-speed accident at the corner of Soudan Ave and Holly St. Friday in which a woman, 89, was badly injured. It is the kind of traffic incident that seems little understood. They say a man drove southbound on Holly to Soudan, a three-way stop intersection. He stopped but then somehow stuck the woman who was crossing Holly from east to west right in front of him. It was 9:49 a.m., full daylight. The driver was a man, 57. He apparently remained at the scene. Police are asking local residents, businesses, and drivers, who may have security or dash-camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
